It's kind of funny looking back and thinking about how Barney was like legitimately seen as the cool/funny one in the group at that time and I doubt it would play that way nowadays

Like... I do feel the character was written to be satirical for the most part, but I feel like most people I knew really thought he was like an awesome groundbreaking character

Yeah, makes sense. I still don't understand how the Big Bang Theory got more popular. The show is written poorly considerin' how smart everyone is supposed to be
