Like, if I ever do go after their guys, I'll do it when I'm in a position of power and probably declare war on the other company, so that they'll stop working for the other company

I mean either that or create a working relationship. Which would be easier but perhaps less realistic. Especially with NWA.

When I see ROH, IMPACT, MLW, NWA and AEW I think to myself if even two of those let alone three of those companies merged, the entire scene would fair better off. At least that that company that resulted from the merge. Those 5 companies specifically are fighting over such a small pool of talent. Impact alone got gutted when NWA Powerrr needed exclusives and AEW started up.

That was ROH's mistake investing so heavily on NJPW.

Funnily enough Bucks asked for a joint NJPW contract. RoH sai no,

I'm also doing my best to avoid signing people from WWN companies. Which is just EVOLVE, FIP and Shine, in terms of what companies exist in this file.

Those companies are basically WWE farm leagues at this point. I don't see many guys from there choosing to sign with Impact and potentially missing an opportunity with WWE.

WWN is 100% a farm territory. Evolve doesn't complain with how often they get NXT talent for shows in exchange.

But I have plenty of prospects, even with all those companies off limits to myself. I've been watching plenty of stuff on IWTV, getting familiar with lower level indie guys.

And I must say, although the indie scene has turned way more niche and way less about workrate since the 2000s and early 2010s, it ain't all bad. There are some awesome workers still, but now I think guys are being way more creative with their characters and such.

Part of me thinks what if Billy Corgan bought out both Impact and the NWA and instead of going to Kahn, Cody and the Bucks joined the new NWA and got NWA back on TNT? Could be a fun future booker idea.
