Charisma and great mic work is the most important aspect in getting a character over, as well as having a great antithesis to build a story around, ring work is like....4th or 5th.

the destruction of Kayfabe and rise of kayfabe breaking on social media killed off any chance for that level of character work anymore.

In middle school I was fully aware Hollywood Hogan was acting, but I still bought into it.

yeah but like Smark; for example...seeing wrestlers out of character on social media desensitizes people further to the illusion.
