I'd say the only downside for me personally as someone that watches indies and other companies to WWE not signing indie wrestlers and recruiting athletes instead is I've seen guys like Blake Christian get signed and didn't work out at all but in the year in the PC he def improved and ton and came back way better after he was released

Other than that I think it's actually a nice balance bc some of those athletes don't work out in WWE but actually stay in the business they wouldn't have otherwise considered doing on the indies and what not like Nduka did
