I'm arguing why it's senseless to say other people should just accept his apology at face value when he's done nothing to actually show he's genuine about it. Even if you have accepted it, you can't expect serious, grown adults to just fall in line with your thinking because it's easier then asking someone to show true, serious contrition and apologies for their actions, even if said in private.
