Nah I get it he works in a small circle of movies. I think he intended it to look cheap, I think the intent is to mimic how the show looked, I also believe it was intended to be black and white, the colors seem to be those used for that purpose I'd say the studio may have interfered and insisted it be in color, or there will be two versions at some point. But it doesn't look good regardless I think he tried to hard to stay in the camp of the original without updating it enough. I expect it to be bad. Plus he cast his wife, again...
