It's kind of a common thing for a lot of veterans, very aloof and very anti-social when it comes to their experiences in wars like WW2 and Vietnam.

as they should be. It’s someone’s prerogative to talk about their past or not. My grandfather loved telling war stories but he wasn’t really involved in fighting. He did see some heinous shit though.

I heard the burn pits were a big problem in Desert Storm and such. Burning human waste with diesel fuel poured on it. Caused a lot of health problems.
