used to have two major conservative parties but they fused, hence why we have all the dipshit reformers making it lean hard right

And I had a talk with someone who also has the same Poli Sci background on me and something he discussed in a class before was there is a bit of a different mentality between left and right. The left fight for their voice to be heard, whether they are progressive, environmentalist, or center-left. The right typically more want to win hence why we have seen right wing parties in Canada unify like Alberta or Federally between the PCs and the CA to increase their odds. Though yes, the PPC has caused a small but noticeable split in the right.
