Since I think from Mania 31 to I think 35? he was either the champ or challenger in all but 1 of those matches

So he was basically always "I am final boss, I only show up once in a while, beat me to be a star" and we had that story most manias and big PPVs and it was getting played out to me.

Which they have done now from what I see with him being a monster face as his own man

Brock has been great since he came back. Quality segments, doing his own shit. Breaking him away from Heyman and having him be at Roman's side has been interesting.

But I think the difference is that nobody has beat him yet. They had Roman beat Brock once or twice, they had Seth beat him twice, Drew then beat him. It was already done. It was the same story with different people.

And in Roman's case, was dragged out longer than it should have

Yea, they spent far too long trying to get the guy over as a babyface.

My issue with Roman is they took to long to get to here

It took him requesting the turn for it to happen. The issue was after the Shield split he had no character development to garner a connection with the fans of him as Roman. He also wasn't involved in the Shield breakup. Then he got injured... And also

Soon as that guy turned heel so many fans ate it up. I remember I started checking out SD again because I saw he had a segment with Heyman at the start.
