I was surprised by how many like American Indian, but apparently a lot of foundations and groups use the American Indian term over Native American.

They do prefer their tribe, overall, though.

Ofc this doesn’t apply everyone and some prefer indigenous people because their didn’t name the land America so don’t like either term.
