I don't even remember what the case was at the time but my pathological liar of an old roommate (Abraham Lincoln owned slaves guy that I've mentioned before) once tried to BS "well I agree xxx is a piece of shit but unfortunately the way the laws are, the jury made the right call" and I was like "so maybe we should look into changing them?" He DID NOT like that

if something is morally unjust to the majority of people but the law doesnt reflect that, then yes, the solution would be to at least consider looking at improving the law lol
