This country and your hypothetical one wouldn't be a fraction of what we are today as a whole. Neither of our countries would be superpowers. Lincoln saying nah you can't just walk out (just like England did with us, you have to win a war for your independence) was the best thing that ever happened to the south.

When rebels try to steal a country's property, there's usually always a war over it. It's fairly standard. At least back then.

The South were NOT traitors. They had every right to secede and they did. And I disagree vehemently with your assessment of what might have happened if the South were allowed to rule themselves.
