Do you love your country? I only ask because us conservatives are usually pretty pro USA on any other topic. Curious. Because why do you defend traitors so tenaciously? This country and your hypothetical one wouldn't be a fraction of what we are today as a whole. Neither of our countries would be superpowers. Lincoln saying nah you can't just walk out (just like England did with us, you have to win a war for your independence) was the best thing that ever happened to the south.

When rebels try to steal a country's property, there's usually always a war over it. It's fairly standard. At least back then.

The South were NOT traitors. They had every right to secede and they did. And I disagree vehemently with your assessment of what might have happened if the South were allowed to rule themselves.
