One thing I liked about Scream is they referenced other horror movies and the teenagers were aware of the tropes. It was such a breath of fresh air at the time

Still sad over Drew Barrymore being killed off in the opening scene, she's so good

That's one of the things I like the best about the flick. Her name brought people to see a really good movie and she didn't need to be in the film long.
