Most of the time consumers don't want to stop them. The people created Walmart and Amazon. They like having one large place they can get everything from. I see this as someone running a mom and pop store. People would rather go to the two chain stores next to me first. Most of my business is locals who are loyal to me due to my personal customer service, but most of the pass through traffic don't stop here.

but consumers don't have a choice when prices are much lower abd wages are stagnant. Can't make an ethical choice when you wanna eat, imo . I don't agree ths people created Walmart because tge people certainly aren't profiting. Business enrich communities not put them out of biz

Okay, I'll get you some names. It may be different here because I live close to Atlanta and it's full of folks that believe "Everything is Ok". BTW, what is PRI? I'm drawing a blank

I think minimum wage is a smokescreen. Most places don't pay minimum and haven't for a long time. I was working Taco Bell in 2000 and the starting wage was $8. This was when the minimum was $5.15. Walmart when I was Customer Service Manager there in 2014 started people at $10. It's gone up since then, too.

PRI is Public Radio International, it's a Minnesota based public non-profit company that helps spread international radio programs to the US as a way of spreading cultural ideas. So you know like "Car Talk", but then there's programs of folks visiting foreign nations like Indonesia and etc.

And tbh if Walmart didn't treat employees like shit n closed stores for wanting a union ID care less. But they enrich themselves off poor wages and sketchy biz practices. I'd rather these ppl not have power over my representative in congress

You can go to local grocery stores and other electronics stores for competitive pricing. No one is forced to use Amazon. They do it for the convenience. Convenience of it all being in one place and convenience because they ship it to you. Same for Walmart, but because the groceries, clothes, electronics, and car shop is all in one place, etc. People chose this convince over going elsewhere.
