I like a story driven game and that seemed like there was none.

Oh yeah, it's not really a game you play for story. I can't rememeber much of Bloodborne's despite just finishing it a month ago. You got to enjoy the combat, levelling up and taking down some bosses.

Bloodborne and the Souls series does have a story, but it is for people who want to dive into the world and not have things handed to them

I'd say you should give Bloodborne a look Butters, as I have heard some people not like Dark Souls but they love that one. It might depend on if you like the gothic horror type vibe. Which was pretty awesome. It's quite different from Souls but shares elements, so probably the only reason you'd not like it.
