One thing I think will be fun, though, is if Tessa' first defense is against another woman and they have a KO's Title match on the same card.

Tessa is damn good and probably the only woman rn I am somewhat fine with winning. I liked her inter-gender matches with Cage from even before Impact.

She probably won't, but it's like realistically if a woman broke through that barrier, that's the first thing they'd want to do. Show the world both men and women can challenge her for it.

Well, I think anyone that watches Impact regularly will be all for it. Some people will hear the news, having no idea about the circumstances or who Tessa really is, and they'll be mad. Some others will have no idea and will be happy, just because of the "progressiveness" of it all. Either way, it's publicity.

It should draw people's attention.

And I'm willing to bet that some people will check it out, anxious to be outraged, only to realize Tessa is actually awesome and quickly have a change of heart,

I think there'll be plenty of people who watch Impact even that'll hate it. I mean any promotion can put the belt on a woman to draw attention and honestly it's not going to be groundbreaking. There are a ton of indy feds that have done it already. That said, Tessa is an exceptional athlete. So if you're gonna do it. Do it with her.

Don't underestimate someone who's trying to be outraged's ability to affirm the opinions they already had regardless of what they see

Most people will just stick with their initial opinion bc they think if they change their opinions then that's admitting to "being wrong"

I don't think there's a right or wrong when it comes to enjoying intergender wrestling.

That's valid @Chris To your point, @Deathstroke, I think we have to remember that Tessa is completely worthy of winning the title (at least imo).. the publicity is just a bonus.
