Literally if anyone ever had just one chance in their lifetime to go see the Lakers live, and that was like their life's goal, and they left saying they wished Kobe hadn't even played, there's no way they'd still be thinking that after he was gone at least

I don't believe for a second there's anyone out there who felt, after he died, that him playing through an injury at a game they were at, was a bad thing

No one knew he’d die though so how can you use that argument. Obviously the fact that he died puts a whole different spin on it

I doubt anyone would go to the game saying “I’m glad I get to see Kobe tonight because he could die at any moment”

Any intelligent person would realize what an opportunity it is to see a once in a generation talent during his time, because sports careers don't last that long

Everyone would have rather seen him play well. That was never the debate.

Well the situation we're looking at is there's someone at a Lakers game, and this is their one chance in their life to see Kobe Bryant in person, would any of them have rather he sat that game out instead of playing less than 100%? And I believe the answer is no. They may have been letdown in the moment but once his career (and eventually his life) is over, they'd be happy they had that memory. That is my case.
