I like how this all started because I said to Chris I do think the world is better today, I just wish I could go back to before social media trying to cancel people every 5 minutes. Who helped what? I don't recall anyone actually caring about the Dixie Chicks outside older blowhards. I was there. I was high school when 9/11 happened, the Iraq War started and then they made those comments. And I already said I'd give you this one band, but that's my point. This is the only example you can think of. I'd happily go back when you might "cancel" one bad over anti-war comments, and let's be real. anti-war and anti-USA stuff will always be hi buttons issues. People tried getting many shows canceled in the 90s and early 2000s. Hell South Park was heavily targeted. People trying to get games canceled. But without social media you didn’t hear anything about it but it was there. Which again no one has said social media didn’t make it worse.
