The product can change a bit and still be the same Era. I never disagreed there was a shift in some of the product. Which is why you can still cut the era in two halves. The thing I disagree with is I don't think the product is completely different. You can look at any show in 2000 and the attitude era fingerprint is all over it. On top of the that, all the top guys are the same as the year before. Of course, we all have different opinions and those opinions should be respected. That's why I also said canon and personal canon. I personally said I think AE should start sooner than the canon start. To me the whole of 1997 is AE, though, WWE starts it in December after SS. Same with the end. WWE claims now it ended with WM17. I'd personally say that's not true because WWE continued to use the Attitude Slogan until May 2002. Etc.

Vince Russo would love your argument, though. Because he'd love to know a wrestling fan thinks he alone wrote the entire AE.

I mean you had Goldust and the start of the Hart Foundation with others doin' off the wall shit before DX was so yeah the start of the AE era is it would be is pretty damn vague

Now that I'm thinking about it, I'd probably define it as Russo's AE and then Kreski's. That's my personal head canon. Also, that guy that only stuck around for 9 months. The guy that loved storyboards and did the Stephanie, Angle, Trips triangle. That was fun stuff.

Attitude definitely started in early 9997 for me, but Vince officially announced it in that video I posted a few minutes ago.

Maybe a little, but I did say originally I had a head canon and an official canon. AE is one of the only two or three eras where they announced it on an actual show. Which is odd, but they were being killed by WCW and needed the audience to know they meant business I guess.

The announced the "new fan era" in December and then gave us Shane McMahon

TBH I stopped counting all the New Eras from the last few years, but it's been a constant stop and push and hoenstly it's not changed much in years.
