But yeah Policing in one country....especially another continent can be vastly different. I mean Police in England don't even carry guns I have heard.

I was a Correctional Officer for a couple of years. We didn't carry any weapons. We had access to pepper spray in certain circumstances.

I was a street officer for one year and as soon as I was eligible - was made an AFO.

had the benefit of doing competive shooting as a child - which isn't common in the UK

made me very employable as an AFO - and I'd never really considered Army Forces because I was aware of Front Line stigma or lack of I might get

Yeah I have no idea why they discharged their weapons at a vehicule with a child involved. all i can imagine is that likely they saw their partner get run over and reacted
