Nah I literally said they probably don't lol but it's hard for me to take anyone seriously that gets paid for their opinions bc they're probably catering to an audience at least
Like if they know people who read their reviews love superhero movies they'll probably and maybe even unconsciously rate them higher bc they wouldn't want to piss off their base and affect their revenue
lol I'm not sure. Critics talk about how their job is rough cause like you said they know certain movies have a fan base that they want to please but can't due to their personal opinions.
And 9 times out of 10 I'm gonna agree with an IMDb ratings over critic reviews unless it was brigaded by a ton of fanboys either positively or negatively which has been happening more and more the last couple years
critic reviews are really just a snapshot of a movie before it comes out. Usually i end up agreeing with critics anyway but I don't really let them determine if I see a movie. It depends on my expectations and the reason for hating
