Does anyone else think that Joker movie looks terrible?

Nah it looks pretty good to me...very similar to King of Comedy tho just with Joker instead

But I'm a Batman mark obviously so I might be biased

I just think having a Joker movie is pointless. Plus you can over do it. If it turns out to be a really smart satire I'll give it props. But I kinda doubt it.

I mean I wouldn't say it's pointless with how much people are obsessed with "damaged" victims now, like it'll probably make them a decent amount of money regardless if it's good. But that's just from a business standpoint

As far as my opinions, yeah I don't think it needed to be made but I'll still probably watch it, just not in theaters

I'll give it a watch for sure. Mostly just for review purposes.

and I've been excited for this movie since it was announced so I can't wait

If I look at any kind of reviews it's usually IMDb ratings or Rotten Tomatoes audience scores just bc those casual ratings tend to mirror my own views better than critics, so if those are decent then I'll probably enjoy the movie

Well right now only critics have seen joker since it's not coming out for a month

Yeah I can't trust critics bc if the review is good I assume they got paid off even if they didn't and if it's bad then I just assume it's a cynical critic who doesn't like anything unless it's exactly what they expected going in

Obviously that's not true for all of them, but it's why I can't take them seriously even if they're good reviews
