Impact today is barely the same company it was in 2008. I'd argue it already died, regardless.

That same argument could be made for WWE in like 2009 compared to the Attitude Era, I'm sure a bunch of people would have said it died then bc they didn't like it. The facts is that the company is still around longer than I thought it would have lasted and that impresses me that they've manged to stay alive when I didn't think they had much of a chance at all

Anyways, before this whole thing started I just said them cutting PPV down is why I lost interest. Whether or not it was the right thing, Impact became a chore to watch when they had to spin their wheels for 2 months before trying to payoff stories so I personally stopped watching. Though I don't think I was alone. I think 2013-2014 is the most common time most TNA fans stopped watching.

Oh I agree with that too, I just made the comment that them cutting the PPVs might be the only reason they're still around lol I didn't like it either, but I won't deny it was probably a good business move

And I don't even know how much of it was their choice, bc their PPVs were probably having such low buyrates that they couldn't even sell any provider on them getting one a month

Booking and roster is not what I'm talking about. I'm saying TNA was on Spike that most people had access to, they had 12 shows a month, had a roster the IWC still cared about including legends from WWE and WCW and they were considered number 2 in the US. I'm just saying Impact is basically a glorified indy today that I watch on Twitch if I want to watch it. That's what makes it so different. It's status and how it operates. Not just booking and whatnot. WWE has gotten bigger sine 2009. Way bigger. The WWE Network has changed the game for all wrestling.

TBH cutting PPV down to 6 might have been, but 4 was a bit too low and I think I saw most of the 2013 ones, but by 2015 they were only doing TWO. What the hell is TWO PPVs? :lizlol

And all I'm saying is their an indy that it still alive and I 100% thought they were going bankrupt pretty soon and fuck the company has survived somehow lmao I'm not saying you're wrong for disliking the downsizing

Two PPVs is your company being on the absolute brink of financial collapse lmao and that's why I'm saying I'm impressed they're still alive in some way even if they are a glorified indy rn

Yeah, pretty much where we're at. I watched TNA because it was a legit number 2. There are probably better indies out there if I wanted to watch an indy. Like MLW I guess. :side:

And I don't think a company should ever accept bankruptcy if they can help it in someway even if it loses you as a fan lmao

From what very very little I've seen I'd probably rank MLW ahead of both ROH and Impact rn. US companies would probably go WWE, AEW, MLW, Impact, and ROH but I really only watch WWE so don't take those rankings too seriously lol

Wait isn't Impact technically based in Canada now so would they even count? :hmmm:
