Grade 8 was Canadian history . We filmed a documentary on Louis Riel for our final project

That was the first time I saw Gladiator and Schindler's List and he even got us an unedited version of it bc he said it was important that it not be censored, wild

What I really notice is that so much of the history that's taught in high school is simply the "What, When, Who, and How" but never the "Why" in detail.

Yeah it was funny bc that same year in English class we had a Holocaust literature section which is wild but we also watched it and she was like, yes this is graphic so I have to okay the censored one

the why is the most interesting to me but Ig it's for later classes n up to interpretation

I've cared more about learning dates and geography rn as I'm hearing these stories so I have proper context then I did in school
