I mostly remember learning a lot about Texas and American history in school, we had like two years of world history but we really just covered high points and I remember one teacher spent a lot of time on China which was fine bc it was new but weird lol

The best "history" class I had was actually freshmen year world geography bc he went through he HISTORY of geography so we learned a lot about early relgions and civilizations

see for me it was the opposite. Esp ig cuz I went to French lycee fancy bs for the first 7 grades. The way it worked iirc is we started like I'm antiquity etc

He was certainly an anomaly as far as teachers wtz especially for history. Most were coaches lol

I remember a lot of American history is taught like, "England settled Jamestown and Plymouth, then America declared independence. Then we had a civil war, then we got super rich off the backs of poor immigrants. Then both World Wars, and then a little thing called Vietnam happened, we don't talk about it. 9/11 Whoo America."

I did really like the sophomore year world history coach tho, he really just covered the material by his pre assigned rubric but was good at it and also used any excuse he could find to watch a movie
