because Dan Schieder was like the big wig of nickelodeon and could basically blacklist them

one of them actually had their mother on set a lot and would stand up and say she didn't think it was right or that she didn't want her son doing it and they fired the kid.

I will play devil's advocate and say that most of the actors who spoke in that doc were kids who washed out after short stints on Nickelodeon shows, with the exception of Drake Bell, whose abuse was not at the hands of Dan Schneider. The impression I got from the doc is that Schneider was an asshole boss, and the working conditions at Nick were definitely not good, but I don't really understand why people have gone as far as too call Schneider a predator based on what was presented.

I think in general the child acting industry is fucked up. I feel like the doc took a weird slant to portray Dan Schneider as like a Harvey Weinstein when there are much more concrete issues that could've been explored.

I think it was mostly about the context of specific scenes and web videos and stuff like that completely changed, after what came out about how he was as a boss and his apparent sexual preferences
