I'm glad we're not like that. Smark and us staff members know what we're doing.

That would explain one or two but wrestling forums went from being about 30 or so in 2010 to I think there’s like four right now. Active ones anyway. Twitter is probably the largest cause because it’s very easy now they just go on Twitter and use hashtags or the trending topics and be able to discuss wrestling even live during shows. People don’t find a reason to search out a community anymore.

Well, let's consider that wrestling has not only gotten more niche in the last 25 years, but also that if you have too much of something, it stands to reason there'll be less over time, mate. 30 wrestling forums sounds like way too much lmao

Becoming more nice probably but most of it is 100% social media. The rise of the ability to chat on Twitter during wrestling with the addition of all the communities and hashtags that they’ve included pretty much correlate with the exact moments that the vast majority of the wrestling forums died between 2014 and 2018 is when the downfall most of them started. And it’s not just wrestling forums. I’ve had several conversations on forum promotion websites where pretty much every forum owner has talked about the inability to grow a forum now with the rise of social media.

trust me I have no desire to discuss on Twitter, but the average fan seems to enjoy it.
