I don't think so. Completely mismanaging the company for at least the last 2 years of its existence into a burning pile of pure, almost irreparable garbage is what killed it. There is no one single thing that is solely responsible for burying it.
In the end though, the new people in charge wanted wrestling off the network. No matter how the company was doing, it would’ve been pushed off, a lot of the people there didn’t even want it when it WAS at its high. You can say maybe it would’ve been a little bit easier to find another network, and that’s true. But if Ted never lost the power he had, WCW doesn’t go away like it did. That’s just a fact.

I mean... is that really surprising when basically 99% of Wrestling media is just "fans" who were raised by WWE doing their thing?

And falling for propaganda isn't "omg WWE is so good now" that's just liking the product lol

If the company had done way better than the last two years they did, WCW wouldn't have died. Doesn't matter about the merger, someone else would've taken over the company if it would've been in a better shape than it was.

ya it's the discrepancy in criticism that makes me rage lol. Idc if u like one over the other but nitpicking one while giving the other carte Blanche is infuriating to me lol

I could do without the nitpicking of the product for either but keep the nitpicking about the business for both
