the merger def killed it and then the guy canceling it obviously, but they did that bc it was losing money and that's where the appeal is, answering the question of who's to blame for them losing money (it's everyone)Hidden Blaze said:But yeah, the main thing to kill WCW is def the whole merger. Like some of the other factors may play a small role in it, but the merger with aol time Warner is the biggest reason

Meltzer had a very unhinged rant about this a few weeks ago. I agree with him but I've also never heard him sound so tinfoily it was weirdCanadian Dragon said:Feels like a lage portion of wrestling media is deathly afraid to criticize wwe now n lose access
...and we are back in the early/mid 1980s. You won't get most of Vince's ideologies and business philosophies out of the company, even if you Benoit him.Canadian Dragon said:Feels like a lage portion of wrestling media is deathly afraid to criticize wwe now n lose access

he essentially said exactly what you said, some people are too scared to lose access and want to be friendly instead of reporting. But it was a lot of yelling and cursingCanadian Dragon said:can u gimme some coles notes on the rant? Bc I do think the astroturfing is crazy n no one wants to talk about it. I’m just going off what I saw on the episode, maybe somewhere else he did, but like on this thing he’s making so many excuses for different things. He admitted some things on it was probably a bad idea on his part but a lot he bent over backwards to find away to excuse it.to Bischoff's credit I heard he admitted it was bad
