They absolutely light me up every year because so much of my work is considered 1099 and my wife and I don't have kids. I keep telling her I'm gonna claim all these animals we've got, but she's not sure we can get away with it.

I didn’t even tell Grim no nor did I even suggest otherwise. I literally just had a very simple conversation with him and then I told him to have fun. It was literally over. I don’t understand why I have to be treated like I did something horrible here. I just don’t understand why I have to constantly be thinking about how things are going to be reacted because I could do the “right thing” five out of six times but if I don’t get that sixth one right, I’m get fired at like one of those transphobic pieces of shit. It’s really honestly nerve-racking. We should be able to have nuanced conversations and maybe sometimes just say no without being made to feel like shit. It sucks because I just recently got out of my shell again after months of barely posting and now I’m probably going back to not posting. It’s easier when I don’t. Even though I was enjoying my toes dipping back into the live discussions. It doesn’t seem like anything I do matters or is appreciated.
