like the off screen civs obviously do real things but its probably like a algorythm , mb if u go turn by turn and force them to think the ai would have to process more decision as opposed to semi predetermined dice rolls

yeah that makes sense, the spectator mod i had wrecked my PC lol but I also assumed that was bc it was continuous not stopping each move like I wanted. It never had time to rest lol

yeah like i noticed huge how much cpu it took because turns got super long by the end game and on the benchmark. on my new cpu it does it all super fast but were talking about a high end beast from last gen - thats more of an outlier

The natural disasters and barbarian mods were my favorites, I always play with them on, just tune the city states to try and balance. There isn't really a sweet spot bc the barbarians might convert to a lot most games but not always so I usually just go with very few starting

The world council i didn't really like, I think it should start later if anything. How are we voting on this shit in 400 BC

The other mods were pretty fun for one off games and I hope we still have them, just weren't ones I adopted to my regular games

I assume the rise and fall stuff is kind of incorporated now too from what I've seen about how you can change between eras, I didn't play that one as much tho

i usually play with secret societies at the very least

mods i use the ocean one for more unique resources and some QoL stuff

u choose a society once u discover them - two of them are op, one is good one is meh

they give u 4 bonuses through te ages, u use a gov point to unlock

I think I'm gonna start my Nubia game I've been saying I was gonna do forever today

Apparently you just wreck everything as early as possible with archers, that sound fun

Lol the game crashed while starting maybe I can't do huge maps anymore
