I delivered pizzas for Dominoes for like a week once and they had to inspect my car. Was an ok gig. Got paid in cash tips every single night but I hated delivering at night and not knowing where the hell to go plus the wear and tear on the vehicle just wasn't worth it.

The wear and tear is pretty substantial

My dad warned me about it and i was like shut up old man i know what I'm doing.

I just wanted an easy stress free job.

but i thought about the few times of the year i would have to deliver in rain/snow and I just said forget it. Plus I don't have a local bank so I had to give the cash tips I got to my parents and they wrote me a check for it so I could take a picture of the check with my bank app to deposit it

with your job do you have a schedule or just go when you want?

I had a legit schedule at dominoes so that kinda sucked. would be way better if like it snowed a day and i just took the day off.

Yeah I’m an independent contractor so I make my own schedule, but with that there’s no base pay. If there’s no orders I make no money so I work as much as I can but sometimes it ain’t much like this past week was a poop fest. I’m debating on swallowing my pride and getting a regular job and working for someone again but fuck that sucks and since I have such a long history in management I’m over qualified but I don’t wanna manage people again cuz I just end up doing all the work and not getting a pay increase….I’m just in a rut and it sucks

I was looking for that job that paid decent and had little to no responsibility/stress and I kinda found it.

Only thing I really have to worry about at work is what room to put people in and when to send my housekeepers home.

If someone has an issue with a room or something I usually just have to make a note about it and put them somewhere else. They'll handle the room in the morning.

I'm trying to transition to the shuttle driver full time which is even easier.

you just fold laundry all night until someone needs a ride and you drive them. kinda like an uber but you get paid hourly and have medical

I’ll figure it out I always do it’s just tiring being almost 49 and still having to struggle week to week…
