Our CFO has been here like 2 years now but still she's newer than me and there's been a few times she's asked us for things that we had never been asked to produce before but like it wasn't unreasonable so we had to figure out how to generate that exact report very quickly so she wouldn't know it was never done before lmao

us they want us to file requests to improve articles and if theres no articles request one

the days that i drive the shuttle are even less. I just fold laundry in the laundry room until they call me that someone needs a ride somewhere. that's my entire shift

basically told us Canada was run wrong for the last de3cade and our processes didnt match theirs

the worst I have to deal with is when tax laws change but thankfully I don't deal with tax much anyway here. But they'll change nationally or state by state, very annoying lol I mostly just handle refunds and penalties we get cause corporate doesn't do a random state tax right

We only have a few accounting employees that have been here longer than me and I'm only at 3 and a half years, mostly bc it was a tiny operation until around when I got hired bc that's when the business did its massive expansion that we've barely caught up on lmao

my job is like, just completly differnt. i went from supporting online systems to assisting bookstore and digital bookstore. so i had to learn so many new things, and ofc like 3 different systems to do stuff in + new processes of escalation

The marketing said we bought 52 stores in 52 weeks in 2021 but that wasn't even true, we bought more. They lowered the number for the tagline

they basically gave us 2 sessions of 4 hour training then stuck us on service tickets with no practical training whatsoever lol
