He won with 60% of the vote in a riding which has typically been one where there's likely some possibility to flip (though there was some changes to the map so that changed things) and unlike the US, we have four parties on the ballot, I say 3 out of 4 had some level of viability.

And while the polls before the election did point to a Liberal win, it was bigger than expected, even one of Higg's ministers (Aka his Puppet for Finance, legit what I heard from SOMEONE WHO DATED HIM!) Ernie Steeves, lost his riding when it was considered leaning towards him

I am not as stressed about it today as I have been. My boyfriend and I talked a lot about it last night

When it comes to polls, there's four questions to be asked: Who's asking, Who was asked, How many answered, and how many exactly of that percebtage are you displaying?

Which, when discussing what happened, (the person who beat him was an Indian immigrant, she is the first person of colour elected for our Provincial Legislature) I mentioned to someone, using my first hand experience, the effort that goes on the ground goes a long way where it can make a difference. The woman had a background in law and real estate, two fields which require a lot of people skills, and I knew she campaigned hard.
