Also the founding religion screens in Civ IV always make me giggle a little

It mixed up all the best aspects of Civ 2 & 3 while also adding a functional religion system that imo Civ 5 and 6 still haven't perfected.

it sounds like 7 worked hard on this , didnt hear much yet but ive heard ppl say its a lot more thought out. also u dont get fucked like in n6 if arabia is in the game and potentially straight up miss out on religion completely and it sucks lol

i do find religion is awesome at first in 6 if u get it but mid to late game its kinda useless (mb i suck tho)

A lot of my saves Ive skipped religion entirely lol

You have to get really ahead for religion at first so you can kinda chill and focus on other things before going for a second wave of conversion

sometimes you have no choice, u get a spot that ur like well ill work on other stuff to help me here - and then uve missed out on religion lol

And it's hard to get ahead, even with the Civs that are good at it, you need to get lucky and settle near a wonder really lol

ya ive found the same. u either rush it right off the bat. or just dont bother lmao

There's some Civs that it's just pointless to go for religious victory too lol

Yeah Civ IV just has it where you find a specific religion (Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Judaism, Taoism, Christianity, and Islam) and you just spread out your religion to other cities. Or you don't worry about it at all and focus on like culture/science.
