i know like Civ3 used to do that on PC back in the day.

Well on my computer it was worse

But i only had issues once I played well longer than the intended time in this save lol

The first thing that crashed it was when I tried to view a list of all available trade routes and it was like 1000

it was like with Fallout 3 and Oblivion on console, the longer you played the more crashes/glitches you experienced unless you went in and deleted old autosaves. the information was just too much for the systems to read fast enough

I was thinking about freeing up space on my PS5 to see if that helped since it's memory is full but maybe I should just delete saves I'll never touch again instead

God of War has something similar on PC(at least steam deck) once you play for about an hour it experiences a memory leak and the game goes to like 0 fps and just stutters until you restart

I would think deleted the saves would be enough

weird ded wasn't like that for me but I likely even back then had more vram than u do.atm.

I do remember it having that memory issue but settings tweak can fix iirc

yeah, i think it's a steam deck issue

I can play it on the lowest settings and it seems to let me play a little longer but I don't think I've had a session where I haven't had to restart at some point

game autosaves tho so i don't miss much if anything but it's inconvenient
