one of my old assistant managers and i did the math for his salary and my hourly wage and with the hours he was working he was actually making less hourly than I was

did ge ghve a pension , vacation n benefits? Thats worth a lot more than an extra dollar an hour

The only way I'll take salary anywhere is if I'm guaranteed to only work a maximum number of hours (45 max), I get vacation benefits, and I get free health and dental insurance for it.

most companies in america only match a certain percentage. like if i put 5% of my earning into 401k they will match it but after that they don't

My point is that even though this company went with salary instead of hourly purely to benefit them, I'm making more money than my last job and I reworked this job to be able to be done in mostly 40 hours a week or less. Most salary jobs aren't as much your body needing to be there a certain time, but simply getting things done in however long they take
