I remember jumping on the Del Rio hype train as soon as he debuted and attacked Rey. He had so much potential with that gimmick, the cars, Ricardo as his personal announcer etc...

Only thing I really ever saw in him was the gimmick. I thought he absolutely sucked with a mic and was very overrated as a worker. He only has one match in his WWE career that I'd go out of my way to watch (vs. Christian at SummerSlam). Sure, in an era where WWE were bringing in dudes like Jinder and Mason Ryan, he was above average, but he'd be a subpar worker compared to today's roster easily.
