I've tried both campaign and online with Halo and honestly didn't find anything fun about either. I never understood the hype behind it.

Halo is The most over rated game in history imo. I have never found ONE fun thing about it.

Gears> Halo in every way.

Halo's definitely going to win in the professional categories. I personally like at least half a dozen first person shooters alot better than Halo. But Microsoft could easily just have the Halo Franchise as their soul video game that they release for the XBox systems and they would STILL sell like crazy and stand up to the other next gen consoles. Which is a damn shame. But this is the kinda shit fanboyism gets you.

I <3 the Burnout mention. Jesus fuck they are super fun games. I might give Burnout Paradise another whirl soon. Shame they took out the specific mode for smashing stuff, but now you can just do it randomly in any street. Tons of fun.

When I first moved into my house last year all I had unpacked was my old PS2... no cable or anything. Me and my girl went out and bought all the old Spyro games for dirt cheap and played them...fun shit.

Deus Ex.

Don't know how many of you played this, it was released in like 2000 - 2001. Though with my skewed sense of time it may have been 99 too. Anyway.

Obviously since it's from 200whatever it doesn't have amazing graphics but it has an amazing storyline to it and is kinda RPG like too. Really neat game, if you don't mind that old kinda blocky stuff it's a really awesome game.

weakkk. i thought wild arms or suikoden2 laid wreckage. idunno i was young and that games fucked. oh wait that came out in 99? dude fft ff7 and ff8 smash that shit be real

for me game of the decade? warcraft3 lol campaign is epic love the characters and story id bend over for thrall illidan or arthas anyday. not to mention online clans the ppl tourneys new and well made custom games. ever heard of dota youtube it
starcraft w/ 3d character hero's orcs n elves instead of space shit is a winning combo imo
played that game for 4 years rly this should be company of the year, blizzard

Speaking of Final Fantasy, what about Final Fantasy X anyone? That was the last FF game that I seriously remember getting into. Hell it was the first to have its own spin-off. It was imo the best RPG for the PS2.

Final Fantasy X was sick. But it suffered in my opinion to the Final Fantasy 7 effect of not having a definitive and satisfying ending. Final Fantasy X-2, although horrible in its storyline, rectified the crappy ending of X by giving us the proper feel good ending we wanted throughout the entire original game. Kinda like Final Fantasy Advent Children finally gave us the closure that made sense without giving us a seeming cliffhanger that we had for 7's ending. But unfortunately those two games by themselves had lackluster endings that ruin the overall experience I think.

Final Fantasy XI is just an MMORPG. Nothing else can be said about it.

Final Fantasy 12 is largely forgettable. Lackluster storyline with poor character development and it was over too quick.

Hopefully when Final Fantasy 13 comes out, it'll be a classic like Final Fantasy X. I dunno it just has that look and feel of the epicness you saw from the FFX promos.

But why the FUCK does Square-Enix refuse to remake FF7 for the next gen consoles? Do they not see that a FF7 remake would make them a fuck ton of money?
