Yes, the guy did a lot to pioneer an entire movement of wrestling, former WWE and ECW champion. I'd say yes.

RVD is Hall bound, but what did he pioneer? He was a creation of the ECW movement and was an over uppercarder while in the E, but he didn't do anything special, certainly he didn't pioneer anything.

Edge could die today and be in the Hall tomorrow.

Larry Zybysko?

Hacksaw Jim Duggan can fuck off. The sad part is, he will eventually make it into the HOF but he was such a shitty wrestler and a dumbass gimmick.

I love how this thread went from a pointless spam game to a history lesson lol. Props Enzo.

Maybe wrong use of words with pioneer...but he certainly was the poster boy for ECW and easily one of their biggest draws. His name became synonymous with the product.

Only because while in ECW, RVD made a name for himself in WWE. Wrestling matches for them in the late 90s and into the invasion era. Beforehand, it was all about Dreamer, Raven, and Taz

^^For a collective career, Rotunda deserves. A three time WWE tag champ, success in Florida (a WWE owned video library), success in the Varsity Club. He had a nice caree with some awful gimmicks, but a very solid career. I say yes.
