Fox very upset with WWE for not trying to sign Punk

In my opinion both TV stations and public broadcast orangizations sounds like a bunch of babies every few months. Has Fox ever thought that WWE tried to get Punk in there for good? Did they know that Punk wanted out due to being unhappy in the past working for WWE? Hmm.. I guess not. Punk was never staying and never indicated he was. Fox get it together.

FOX are idiots for even thinking WWE could or would get Punk back, they would have to have an insane amount of money to get him back.

Yeah the only way he’d come back is if they met every single demand he had which probably would have been a ton of money, dates off, complete creative control, a wrestlemania main event, and other shit. And even then who knows if he’d return.

When it became clear there was a good chance of CM Punk going to AEW, FOX, who had a good relationship with him from signing him to WWE Backstage, wanted WWE to make an offer to him.

WWE supposedly responded saying that the money figure he wanted was too high.

FOX was so interested in him returning to WWE and not AEW, they reportedly they responded by wanting to help out.

But WWE officials then said there were other reasons they didn’t want him, the attitude issues and such.

2013 was the last time WWE was truly great so I'll take this analysis.

To be fair, he still would’ve rejected them. So they didn’t want each other.

Fox and Punk had a great relationship based on his work on Backstage. Punk was at least open to the idea of returning in 2019 at the time of Starrcast. It's not mentioned here but in 2019 I think AEW insiders thought Punk would not be going with them and could well be back with WWE based on his outburst regarding AEW's attempts to contact him which also had people there soured on trying to bring him in.

WWE however was not keen and told Fox he wanted too much money compared to what he offered. Fox responded by saying they could help out financially so he could be on a WWE show and not an AEW show. WWE reverted by saying Punk's attitude issues etc. also made him persona non grata.

From a prior Observer, WWE insiders at the time of his firing said while Punk sold a lot of shirts, he did not have much impact on other revenue streams like PPV buys or ratings.

By Feb and March of this year, Punk and Tony were discussing his compensation and booking scenarios for bringing him back.

Why would they care about PPV now when they have the network? ratings I get, that still matters… but PPV buys for WWE no. Plus AEW just did over 200k buys. So some of their reasons are stupid. WWE didn’t offer him anything because they damn well knew he would reject them. Simple.
