Former WWE Star Backstage At TNA

We have received reports that former WWE Nexus star Michael Tarver was backstage at TNA Impact tapings on Monday.

I know that the fact he was backstage, doesn´t mean he´s commin´to TNA.
But here´s a question, do you think that Michael Tarver would fit TNA?

I don't think he can fit in anywhere.

He's just gonna get the Trevor Murdoch treatment where he comes in simply cause he is a WWE guy and they just randomly debut him with no purpose and never really see him again after a few weeks.

When he was on NXT he was a goof, When he was a part of the Nexus he seemed decent and along with Barrett and Sheffield was the only people allowed on the mic initially. But i can't see him ever fitting to any promotions plans, He will just be that Nexus guy who wore a weird neckerchief.

I don't think TNA will sign him. They have more than enough wrestlers on the roster already that they don't use and it isn't like he is a big star that will draw ratings

He can be built, and I see potential in him. I mean, did TNA really have anything to gain when they signed Elijah Burke? The guy was nothing. But TNA made him something, in a rather nice way. So they could build him up, if they wanted too. Because thats one thing that I think TNA does better then WWE. They can make new stars.

I think I may have to defend Burke here. He actually had a following before WWE released him, he wasn't just an extra guy. He also garnered waves for some religion gimmick he was just doing at house shows. Tarver doesn't have the personality that Burke has, he's much more bland. Burke can get a real crowd reaction based on his Pope promos, Tarver is a god damn robot on the mic. His character he was trying to put over was nothing special at least the way he promoted it was. He's a dual sport athlete with boxing and wrestling which is the easiest gimmick to adapt on and guess what? He failed miserably.

It's a sad affair for the guy when the only thing memorable about him is that he wore a mask or whatever covering his mouth and was in the Nexus.

You know when he was wearing the suit and making sporadic appearances backstage I actually grew interest in what would come of him. So I think potential is their given the right character. Should have given him the O' Haire character that never developed "But I'm not telling you anything you don't already know"

Anyone know whats become of Sheffeild?

Think Skip had complications with his surgery for the broken ankle and it set him back a substantial amount of time.

Burke had a big role in WWE ECW when he was leader of the New Breed. His release was one of the biggest shocks of the year and it was a no brainer for TNA to hire him because he had shown in WWE that he had a lot of potential.

I don't think that TNA are good at making new stars I mean who have they made a star in the past couple of years? Roode and Storm and that was in the past month. Everyone else they started to push but then they pulled back on it.

I would like to see Michael Tarver in TNA, he was one of my favorite members of Nexus and I think he could be a great mid-carder. I don't know if he could win the Television title or anything but he could have some pretty good matches against people like Devon, Bully Ray, Crimson etc. I don't know if he will EVER get signed with TNA but I think he should. Either TNA or ROH, he could be a huge star in ROH.

I can't see ROH signing him. ROH go for elite wrestlers and Tarver never really showed that he was an excellent wrestler in WWE, he was more about his gimmick.

He's better than Rhino and Rhino has been in the business much longer.... if you really want to know my reasoning, Rhino has been in the wrestling business for a pretty long time and hasn't accomplished very much. I always thought he would be one of the top superstars on ROH but that isn't gonna happen, I can see Michael Tarver on there and do much better than Rhino ever could. I can see TNA signing him over ROH signing him though, like I said.... TNA loves WWE talent.

Rhino is in ROH because he brings name value for a pretty reasonable price, don't see how that is relevant at all to a Tarver discussion.
