Former WWE Star Gets TNA Tryout

It's being reported that former WWE star Mike Knox received a tryout match prior to Monday's Impact Wrestling tapings in Orlando. Knox faced Devon in the pre-show dark match, and was said to be sporting a new look.

According to JP Nichols, Mike Knox received another tryout match on the second night of Impact tapings, this time, his opponent was Kazarian.

It is also being said the match between him and Devon was taped and will be on an episode of Impact Wrestling's Xplosion which airs in the UK.

Fairly confident he'll do nothing in TNA if he gets signed. Just cannot see him being used consistently.

Not a fan of the guy, but also didn't have anything against him. Not going to say if this is good or bad yet until I see something of him.

The guy was a damn good brawler when he was in WWE. No idea why people wouldn't be a fan of his work. He looked damn legit in the ring. He also had a unique, impactful crossbody and one of the best lariats I had seen in years.

I doubt TNA will know how to use him, though. I long for the days of a companies like WCCW to return because this monster would fit in well in a place like that.

I was a fan of his work in ECW, pretty good worker for a big man. Can't believe that he got rid of the beard, made him stand out a lot more. I think Xplosion airs here in Australia so I will check it out.

I thought Knox had an awesome look in WWE, but there was something else about the guy I really liked that I couldn't put my finger on, kinda like Luke Gallows.

I always saw potential in Knox. He had that interesting evil scientist thing going but he got too heavy. He still looks to be in pretty awful shape so I'm not sure about him. TNA has enough heel big men so I don't know how it will work.

His feud with Rey Mysterio is underrated as well.

I don't mind this, I always liked him. I think he could be a good brawler. Maybe team up with some of the other brawlers, or possibly be a bodyguard type?

Not sure about the mad scientist thing, but I have to agree. He had a look in his eyes that sold him as a dangerous man.
I think he has potential. TNA? Don't get me started.
