former WWE developmental talent arrested on murder charge

I've been given the official police report by a source who works for NBC in Florida. This comes from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.



Who: Brian McGee, DOB 2-3-84 black male, 67", 280 lbs., black hair shoulder length dreads.

Tattoos on upper right arm First tattoo "Fat Fat" Second tattoo "Brianna" and a cross

Vehicle description: 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, Silver in color with black racing stripes. Florida Tag : W N I

Suspect is a former pro wrestler and went by the name of "The Future Donovan Ruddick".

Victim: We are not releasing the victim's name until next of kin has been notified.

When: July 24, 2013 at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Where: Del Lago Apartments 8451 Del Lago, Tampa

Why/How:At approximately 8:30 p.m deputies were called to the Del Lago apartments in reference to a stabbing that had occurred. When deputies arrived they discovered the female victim had been stabbed multiple times and the suspect had fled the scene prior to the deputies arrival. The victim died at the scene as a result of her injuries.

Alerts were placed for the suspect, providing his description and his vehicle description.

The suspects vehicle was spotted in Tampa and a pursuit involving Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Florida Highway Patrol and Tampa Police Department resulted in the apprehension of Brian McGee in Pasco County at Interstate 75 and County Line Road where the suspect crashed. McGee was transported to a hospital in St.Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.

McGee will be charged with First Degree Murder.

Former WWE Developmental wrestler Brian McGhee was "a mess" over the past few months, according to a friend of McGhee's who spoke to Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com.

McGhee, who has been charged with first-degree murder after allegedly killing his former girlfriend, was hit hard by WWE releasing him from Developmental in 2012, according to the friend. This was after McGhee battled through an injury and, according to the friend, was ribbed by unspecified trainers who thought he was milking his injury.

"I'm not saying it's the WWE's fault he went crazy, but he was a different person after he got released than before he was signed," the friend told WrestlingInc.

"He felt obligated to return, but he knew the writing was on the wall with the treatment he was getting while injured. He was constantly ribbed while he was out and after he came back."

After McGhee was released from Developmental in 2012, the friend says people were trying to get McGhee to move back to St. Louis, where McGhee started in wrestling, but he remained in Florida.

The friend also said McGhee "became even more depressed" the last few months after a series of personal and family issues affected him.

That doesn't portray WWE in a good light. I can imagine some "Is there a culture of bullying in wrestling? Did it drive former wrestler to murder?"etc. shite appearing on the news to fill 10 minutes.

Seems like a rather extreme measure to resort to after being "ribbed" but the amount of reports coming out of developmental about this sort of thing is quite alarming though and it's all usually pointed at Demott which i'm pretty sure this report will have been aimed at.
