- Mickie James' contract with TNA has expired as of today and she is now a free agent. James reportedly rejected a recent offer from the company.

Mickie signed with TNA back in September of 2010 and made her debut on the October 7th episode of Impact Wrestling. She went on to win the TNA Knockouts Title three times.
They have only 5 active knockouts on their roster. ODB gail velvet tessmacher and terrell. God knows where Taryn is, tessmacher is Ray's bitch right now, i guess we can have ODB vs Gail Kim for 10 weeks straight...

And the only one to care Dale is on Hiatus for screwing up the prediction thread in dramatic fashion...

This means only one thing. The Return of Piggy James.

And um...someone fill me in here, but when did she lose the title? I thought she was still champion.

EDIT: Just looked on the website and she still is champion. So..she didn't resign while being the Champion? The company let her hold the title up until her contract expired? This is just sad.

Maybe they taped her losing on the most previously recorded Impact. The Website would have her as the champ till it aired. either way TNfAil

Hoping those THIGHS! get another run without getting called FAT! But i can also see here focusing on her music.

Why am i not surprised TNA managed to screw up the best heel KO they've had since the original Beautiful People and Kong.

Mickie James dropped it to ODB on this week's tapings.

As above is the whereabouts of the Knockout's title.

I was enjoying her latest heel run, she played that role so well. Can't believe how bad the Knockouts division is now, that used to be their strength until Bischoff and Hogan came in. Such a waste.

Be interesting to see if another WWE run is an option. She left in the first place since they wouldn't allow her enough time to work on her side projects like her music but will they accomodate her this time?

This company gets more and more laughable each day. I'd like to see her back in WWE, but I don't think she'll want to go back especially after the last run she had before she left. Right now, if she doesn't re-sign, she'll probably concentrate more on her music and do indy's.

Would she be considered a big enough name to warrant a part time deal, kind of like a Jericho deal? I get that women's wrestling isn't thought of that highly but she is one of the top women wrestlers out there and she has name value from her time in WWE. I am thinking that she could sign a one year deal and then take time off to pretend to be a country music singer. That obviously all depends on whether both sides want that or not but I wonder if others think she would be able to get a deal like that.

First of all TNA have taken another step toward the grave as Mickie was easily one of their hottest properties and the future of the KOS now looks bleak.

Am a little surprised that she didn't re-sign as she must be one of their top earners and would get more freedom to do her music than if she was in WWE.

As for Troy's questions, honestly I don't think WWE do see her as a big enough name but they should. They really need someone like James to get people interested in their ladies division again. She could have a hell of a feud with AJ, a face James, with AJ ripping into her about how she is washed up and that her music career is a joke would make for compelling TV and the matches would deliver too.

Agreed with the first paragraph, I literally have no reason to watch TNA anymore now that her and Morgan are done there. I'm pretty sure I said in the thread for this weeks Impact that I said she'll probably be leaving given the out of nowhere title switch. Sad really, her newest gimmick has been awesome.

Secondly, I'm not surprised she didn't resign because let's be real, she won't be hard up for money given her several years in the E and the supposed half a million a year deal with TNA.

Thirdly, I do agree that she would be an asset still in the WWE although I have my doubts as to whether or not they would Gail Kim her or use her properly since she was their creation. They are seriously lacking an actual vet that can work too, not the make believe vets the Bellas think they are. Her and AJ as much as I dislike her could have an outstanding feud given their similarities.

What would WWE need from Mickie James? Some mediocre midcard act? They have their top star in AJ Lee, and the rest are filler bitches. WWE doesn't care about womens wrestling.

It was a fun experiment in the 00s, the experiment was left to wither and die, because it garnered the interest level of a hardcore division.

And how is that a good thing? Besides the fact that in 2013 Women's wrestling should be taken serious, also by not promoting Women's wrestling properly WWE are cutting off nearly half of their potential audience which is not smart business.

To answer your question about James I don't consider her to be mediocre but also you can't build a division around just one good wrestler. TNA succeeded with the knockouts from 2007-2010 because they had four or five great wrestlers and a great feud to boot, and WWE succeeded from 2004-07 because of having strength in depth.
