I was hoping to get some actual discussion out of you and some actual reasons much like Killz did, but I thought I was setting my sights too high

I basiclyu watch wrestling because of the wrestling. The backstage antics, promos etc doesn't really matter that much to me. And WWE fans who bash TNA just make me laugh, as WWE over the past years has done many weird and stupid things, both in storyline and outside storyline.

I normally wouldn't give a fuck but this logic makes no sense. You watch TNA (and maybe other promotions) because you care about watching wrestling and couldn't care less for promos, storylines and angles. Thats totally cool. But then you say you dislike WWE because their promos, storylines and angles were strange to you.

You watch wrestling for wrestling, but you're judging WWE by a completely separate criteria.

Yes I do, that's why I started this thread for you. I'd also like you to go into as much detail as you can, even bring up their negatives too if you have any.

I'd like to interject my opinion in here, but before I do, I feel it very important to state that I'm not a WWE nor a TNA fan, but a wrestling fan. I watch just about all WWE, TNA, and ROH programming and have opinions on all of them that tend to change very regularly.

TNA has been doing real bad for years now, but that started to change the last few months of last year, and in my opinion Impact is the best wrestling show of 2012 so far. Things are coming together and actually making sense for once, which is realy surprising considering how nothing ever made sense in TNA. Bully Ray is really coming into his own as a heel, probably the best in the wrestling business today. I've never been a pro-TNA guy since my honest opinion over the years was that it was horrible, but had some good matches every now and then, but lately I've been enjoying Impact so much more than Raw or Smackdown (which is usually a lot better than Raw anyway).

With that said, TNA is still doing some things wrong, such as Sting being in the main event of the PPV, but compared to where they were at just a year ago, they've made so much progress and have me anxious for the next edition of Impact each week.

I followed TNA's progress from the start and I watched the shows when they aired in Australia. It was rough to begin with but they found their niche soon after with the X division and then the Knockouts division. It was the Jeff Jarrett show in mainevent but around that there were so many good matches and feuds surrounding the other divisions. TNA in those days was a true alternative to WWE and that is what made it appealing.

TNA fell off the rails when they brought in Hogan and Bischoff because all they did was make TNA WWE Light. TNA need to realise that being number two is a good thing and that TNA can't compete with WWE at WWE's level. That is why the Jan 4th 2010 experiment was a massive failure, TNA is nowhere near the level of WWE and they should have realised that they didn't have a chance. When it comes down to it there is no reason for TNA to try to compete directly with WWE, of course they are competeting against them since they are in the same business but going head to head will simple kill the company.

If TNA can go back to being an alternative they will get me watching again. If the X Division, Tag Team Division and to a lesser extent. Knockouts division were strong again then I would probably tune in. I don't want to see Sting, Angle, Hogan maineventing I don't mind them as a special attraction but other than that it is overkill when TNA only have a two hour show each week. They need to continue to push newer, fresher talents and use these veterans to put them over. Be different rather than copying WWE and it will benefit them.

I actually think they were doing bad before they brought in Hogan and Bischoff, though they definitely didn't help.

Yeah really its been since about 2007 then TNA were consistantly good. The downslide started around then and for me has just gotten worse since.

I agree with that, but at least in my opinion, it started getting better last year around the time Roode became champ, and it's been real good this year so far. Maybe it's just my expectations being so low, but I'm at least enjoying it.

The Roode/Storm storyline has really been great nobody seems to take that into account when insulting TNA lately and just ignore it. Their pushes have been the biggest part of TNA the last six months.

This post isn't designed to flame you or anything although I can't guarantee that it won't end up being a flamefest of sorts but anyway.

Given how you come across that TNA is the greatest wrestling promotion in the world and they can't do no wrong, I would like you tell me what makes them so great and why you like them so much. Convince me why I should tune in to watch iMPACT, tell me what's so good about the company and the talent and why I should be watching them instead of the WWE etc

Basically, sell to me TNA how you see it.

:hm:

To start with, I've been a wrestling fan since I was a kid. And Iæve probably (without bragging) followed like 20 wrestling promotions the last 15 years. From WWE, WCW, ECW, MLW, IWA-MS, ROH, CHIKARA, PWG, DGUSA, EVOLVE, DG, NJPW, AJPW, WSX, AND OFFCOURSE TNA, to mention some. What fascinated me when I first saw wrestling, around the age of 8, was not the antics or the promos, but the in ring skill of these people, who hurt themselves for my entertainment. When that is said, I do enjoy a good promo and some backstage antics, as it's all a part of what I enjoy the most in the world after smoking pot, WRESTLING! But basicly, a great wrestling match means much more to me than anything else that is a part of wrestling. And a match does not have to be a spectacular 5-Star match for me to rate it high (as one of my favorite matches of all time, and it was a dream match that actually happened for me) was JoMo Vs Evan Bourne in WWECW back some years ago. TNA intriged me from the first time I saw it (who's been since the star) and I've been following them ever since. Maybe I got skylaps when it comes to TNA, but over the years, their shows have entertained me more than any other wrestling promotion in the whole world. And some of my favorite wrestlers of all time is wrestling there. I put any AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Doug Williams, Frankie Kazarian, Kurt Angle or Jeff Hardy match over any WWE match. When that is said, a couple of my alltime favorite wrestlers are in WWE, and I'm really happy for what's going on in WWE right now. Bryan Danielson as champion is pretty cool! And with Moxley, Black and Brodie Lee coming, it's gonna be fun! And this years WM card looks way better than WM 26 and 27. I never said TNA is the greatest wrestling promotion in the world, as TNA has many flaws. To be honest with you, the greatest wrestling promotion in the world is Chikara, but that has to wait until another time. WWE fans who bash TNA because they hire WWE-rejects is pissing on themselves, as those wrestlers was once hired by WWE, and most of them are big stars. Big stars WWE should be sorry they fired.

Here's my view of TNA from 2005-2008 I was watching on occasion I enjoyed it but the main thing that turned me off was when they advertised they were gonna be in Australia now I wanted to go because I wanted to see AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy live as I still had a bit of respect for Jeff Hardy back then, I bought the tickets and when I got there there was no one there and a small sign on the door saying that the show was cancelled and would be back later on in the year but what really pissed me off is that they never came back and why because Hulk Hogan was busy trying to compete with WWE and it was never gonna happen, not only that but he was busy bringing in his buddies like there was no tomorrow.
Since then I have boycotted all TNA stuff and only getting second hand information about it.

Now when Robert Roode won the TNA title I thought yes finally TNA is going somewhere and not pushing WWE rejects but I do worry though that this is only because Jeff Hardy was out being stoned.

Now if TNA want to be successful they need to do a few things

Fire these people as they bring nothing to the table

RVD doesn't have the passion anymore and is only there for a paycheque

Mr Anderson he brings nothing and every interview or twitter remark he's always taking shots at Randy Orton or Triple H.

Hulk Hogan biggest waste of money going around

Garret Bischoff the fact that he is in such a big storyline is a disgrace

Devon Dudley without Bubba he's worthless really

That frees up a lot of money so they can get some guys from the indies ROH or anyone WWE dropped the ball on.

^^ Ehh....ok. You certainly haven't watched Chikara then. They book the greatest wrestlers in the world, and are presenting a way better product than any other wrestling company as of late.

I'm not a fan of indys but there are much better promotions than Chikara, Chikara wrestling isn't that great to consider it the best in the world and half their guys don't even look like fucking wrestlers and are poor at charisma/promos. The selling isn't that good from most guys either. Their production quality is like backyard wrestling.

You have some sort of fetish for masked wrestlers.
