Posted by Chris Kaufman on 03/12/2010 at 01:32 PM

As reported earlier, the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at Wrestlemania will now feature ten participants instead of the originally scheduled eight.

According to F4WOnline.com, the final spot will be determined this Monday night on Raw with Kofi Kingston as the favorite.

Drew McIntyre is revealed as the ninth competitor on tonight's episode of Smackdown.

With Kingston looking like he is going into MITB that scratches the tag match with him and Orton vs. Legacy.

Is 10 Men in MITB too much? I don't think so when they are all decent to awesome superstars. When you have guys like Finlay and Mark Henry in it sure you would say it would suck, but if all the guys are halfway together it shouldn't matter how many stars are in it.

I like the idea, because none of these guys would get matches on the card outside of MITB anyway.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. 8 man MiTB matches were just bearable, but 10? That's fucking ridiculous. I wish they'd go back to 6 to give the match some kind of ebb and flow rather than huge clusterfuck spotfest, as well as some credibility.

I wouldn't be surprised if their were 12 in it next year.

I don't mind it. I am not going to fool myself and say I watch MITB for an awesome storytelling. I watch them for the crazy spots with the ladders, and I hope I see even more with more people.

I loved the first MITB at WM21 mainly because it was such a small amount of guys. That is another reason why I think MITB is not as good as it used to be because the match just keeps getting bigger.

I am sure it won't suck because alot of these guys are interesting and fans want to see all of them in MITB, but that is alot of guys to give equal time in a ladder match. Will they be doing this amount of guys at the MITB PPV as well?

But why do you need more guys to do these spots?

^ More possibilities to do spots. For examply,

JoMo does a SSP with a ladder, he's probably out of energy for a good spot. In comes Benjamin, does some crazy shit off a ladder to another ladder. He's out, come in Kofi. & so on, and so fourth.

Your example involved 4 people, at most 6. There are already enough people to do these spots.

The finishing sequence to the match would take about ten minutes by the time the 8 other superstars not involved with the actual finish of the match take their respective bumps.

Definitely prefered it when it involved 6 guys, really made them look good too, then they thought they'd add another 2 spots for ECW guys to make the match, now 10? Its just ridiculous. Why not just have Drew defend his belt against Kane or something since they were feuding, don't just toss extras into MITB.

Because the card is already stacked and they wanted to fit heaps of people on the card, so they took the easy way out. I can't see it impacting on the quality anyway, since the match has been a spotfest with no psychology with the exception of the first one, and we can thank the greatness that was Chris Benoit for that.
