Or it was the fact that he wrote off the past 6 months (probably way longer infact) of him being a key part of Raw seemingly every week and now being built as a heel in a really good midcard angle as if it would have no bearing during contract talks.

Sometimes it’s best to be a big fish in a small pond, then a small fish in a big pond. Only reason I could see him going to TNA.

I don’t think he would be interested in AEW for that reason either.

That’s why TNA was my first thought. If it’s not about the money for him, he could go be the big fish and have some really good matches with guys like Josh/Moose/Ali

I can think of many reasons why he would be interested in AEW, more money and perhaps working directly under the tutelage of Danielson are being quite under sold by some imo. I don't think he takes a TNA paycut however, unless its under some dual deal with the potential new relationship, the money is considerably less than WWE and AEW
