Fightful Select is reporting that the WWE contract of Alpha Academy’s Chad Gable is scheduled to expire at the end of next week.

As of Wednesday, the belief is that no new deal had been reached between Gable and WWE. If he does, in fact, reach free agency, Gable is expected to receive interest from across the entire industry.

His current WWE contract is reportedly set to expire next Friday, and WWE is said to be interested in re-signing him to a deal.

In terms of the outside interest from other companies, there is said to be a strong push from a lot of the talents outside of WWE to vouch for their various promotions to make an attempt to sign Gable, if he becomes available.

There are even said to be some MMA promotions that are interested in inquiring about Gable’s desire to possibly compete in the combat sports world.​

His "recent usage" doesn't matter at all in this, tbh... because why would he be like "Hey, they used me in some bigger stuff, I better sign a new 5-year deal", when they seemingly won't want to pull the trigger for actually pushing him in a significant matter? Especially when he already got burnt by the company couple of times and other endeavors might give him a chance to become more... because we all know he could be way, way more.

I also don't think it's delusional to think not everyone is swayed by good recent booking. We do not know what chads priorities are, be it financial or personal. While I personally think the odds are favorable to stay, I don't think recency bias works on every person and it doesn't mean someone may still not want to explore free agency. food for thought.

I selfishly want him to stay in WWE because I feel like he’s a better fit there tbh and I’m not high on the other options he has, but if he goes elsewhere good for him.
