EA has sent over a FIFA 14 gameplay trailer to accompany a fresh round of previews and interviews.

The trailer shows off the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of this year's release ahead of the recently announced FIFA 14 release date of September 24 in North America and September 27 throughout Europe. FIFA 14 will be released on Xbox One and PS4 at a later date.

In a new FIFA 14 interview, producer Kantcho Doskov chatted to CVG about the 'completely new systems' that will be ushered in with this year's instalment.

Earlier today we also published a new FIFA 14 preview, in which we said: "Two most effective changes in FIFA 14 also happen to be the two most crucial to football: moving and shooting. While things are no doubt being saved for next year, we've still got plenty of reason to be excited about what the team have got planned for the new season."

EA said last month that there won't be a Wii U version of FIFA 14 because of "disappointing" sales of FIFA 13 on the console.

The publisher claims FIFA 13 sales topped 14.5 million units between September 2012's launch and the end of the company's financial year on March 31, 2013.

Same shit different year I guess. It's good they're putting in some new things and patching up the system here and there though. My first FIFA game was FIFA 13 and I was never really a soccer fan before it, but I really enjoyed the game and have taken a liking to the sport itself as well. A lot of my friends play FIFA so that's probably why I enjoyed it so much and I'll be picking this up for sure on release.

As long as it's the same shitty strength fest that Fifa 13 was, it's doomed to gaming mediocrity.

Seriously, EA's idea of football is totally warped. Play against a big, strong team and life becomes very hard. Dede of Vasco was one of the best defenders on the game, not because he's good IRL, but because he's so strong and quick. Good luck getting past him. Can't run through him, can't play it over the top because he pulls players back with his "strength". Lots of players out there in a similar ilk. Strength was paramount, and if you could find a team with big, strong centre halves, you'd win out. Basically, EA believe that football is a game of strength, and not technical ability.

That, and the shooting was awful. Any blueberry could score within 20 yards by just powering a shot at goal. The game online was just full of people shooting from everywhere and being rewarded.

Also, I don't know how EA can call these annual trailers which show nothing "gameplay trailers".
